Honor a Teacher Today!

Here's how it works...

Simply fill out and submit a Honor a Teacher form with the name of the teacher or staff member you'd like to honor, the school he/she is located, along with a brief explanation of why you'd like to express appreciation. Then, enclose the amount of your donation, ( $5 is suggested).

When your donation is received, the KEF will send the teacher/staff member a certificate announcing that you made a donation in his/her honor. Any comments you make about the honoree will accompany the certificate.

All funds raised through KEF Teacher Tribute support the Innovative Educator Grants Program.

In a world where outstanding teachers make such a difference, KEF is very grateful for the dedication of all teachers. The outstanding teachers in each of the KCSD schools are recommended by thier principals. KEF recognizes these outstanding teachers for their dedication to excellence in education. Each recipient of the KEF outstanding teacher award, receives a $75 gift card and a bouquet of flowers. Each recipient's name is also listed on plaques displayed in the District Office and in each school.

This year's reciepents are Lisa Daugherty, from Kennett High School; Tara Mathews from Kennett Middle School; Joanne Connelly, from Mary D. Lang Elementary School; Jenn Joiner from Greenwood Elementary School and Barb Denis from New Garden Elementary School.

The 2009-2010 winners were Kori Barley Stoudemire from Kennett Middle School; Deb Roselle from Kennett High School; Kyle Miscoski from New Garden Elementary School; Lori Lattanzio from Mary D. Lang Elementary School and Sue Collins from Greenwood Elementary School.
