The Kennett
Education Foundation (KEF) is a community-based foundation devoted
to enhancing the educational experience in the Kennett Consolidated
School District by providing support and scholarships to students,
and innovative grants to teachers and educators.

*** Our first KEF Education Celebration will honor Tony
Bowling, 7th grade Science teacher at the Kennett Middle School.
It is a pool party on June 18th from 6 - 9 pm hosted by Allan
and Janis Reynolds.

Cortney
Bryan Schaeffer, former Kennett teacher and wife of Forrest
Schaeffer, died April 7. The family has requested that "in
lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Kennett Education
Foundation, P.O. Box 849, Kennett Square, PA 19348." All
donations in Cortney's memory will be added to the Forrest R.
Schaeffer scholarship funds. -
Thanks to everyone who supported our May 6 fundraiser -- it was
our most successful one yet! -

Teachers:
Grant proposal limit doubled to $2,000, and grants are now
awarded year-round. We have lots of funds for 2008-2009
and 2009-2010, so send your proposals to Sue Mangan. Click on 'Innovative
Grants' for details.-
Honor-a-Teacher program revised. 100% of your Honor-a-Teacher
donations fund innovative classroom grants. You may also
honor administrators, retired teachers, etc..

The Kennett Education Foundation meets the third Friday of each
month (except July, November, and December), at 7:30 am in the KCSD Office. All are welcome
to attend.
